In this video, I walk through picking an order that contains a KIT SKU, also referred to as a bundle.
While I don’t cover the specifics of build kits a build kit differentiates how we handle the kit when an order comes in:
With a build kit, the items are “broken out” as soon as the order is placed, so if you change the kit after it won’t affect existing order.
With a regular kit, we don’t do that, it only “breaks it down” at pick time, so a change to the kit will impact existing orders.
From the pickers perspective there is no difference You would also use a build kit if you want to split ship (either partial shipping, or split between boxes)
